I took this picture just about a year ago, and posted it on the Internet for all to see.
I was at the heaviest I’ve ever been in my life – and you know what? I was the most confident I had ever been in my body. Weird.
I’m not saying you need to do the same, I’m saying coming from someone who tried their hardest at covering every inch of their body (except maybe some cleavage…🤷♀️). I’m talking full jeans, tank top and cardigan (light but still) in 90 degrees in the summer. I didn’t feel like anyone needed to be subjected to what I had to offer. I was hot, and I was miserable.
In a society that often dictates narrow standards of beauty, learning to love our bodies can be a revolutionary act of self-acceptance and empowerment. Working through your own bullshit, makes a world of difference.
Are you ready?!

I am completely guilty of thinking negatively about body types in the past – I think that was why it was so hard to face my own battle.
I grew up in an environment where I was criticized about my body and the things I ate, but not given the tools or guidance as a young girl to combat the issue.
I grew into a young lady hating everything about myself – most of all my body. It took me a long time to figure out why I felt that way about myself.
It took me a long time to start loving my body and accepting it.
Once I got a taste of that freedom, there was nothing else that compared.
You are so strong and capable of achieving anything you want – INCLUDING loving your body!

Last week in the podcast, Julie and I talk about getting comfortable with our bodies.
Let’s take down the armor and look at ourselves right in the mirror. We do not get the body we love by hating the body we have – we get it by loving it. It deserves love. You deserve love.
Listen to the podcast, and shoot me a message – I want to hear about it!
And stay tuned as I begin some major new things that will provide us a space to collaborate and grow together – I can’t wait!
