“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles, and less than perfect conditions. So, what. Get started now. With each step, you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident, more and more successful.” -Mark Victor Hansen
Honestly, it pains me a little to even look at these older pictures. I don’t like the way I look in them obviously, but there was sadness in my smile, and I remember that. On the other hand, I like looking back to where I began, and reflect how I got to my “now”. I’ve come a long way, still a long way to go, but I am SO READY to get there!
The picture on the left was summer of 2009, on the right, today.
I took a rowing class today, it was awesome. I like variety and it was fun to try another “something new”. I’ve been enjoying my beginning to cross fit and can’t wait to see how this impacts my transformation. Plus, the people are really cool, both staff and member are super friendly and encouraging.
So, I know I’m not alone when I say I want results yesterday. You know, you eat on point a few days and expect dramatic results on the scale immediately. I know it doesn’t work that way, it doesn’t mean I don’t still wish for it.
So, I’ve decided I’m no longer stepping on the scale. I was recording my weight daily, watching the numbers go down…then up again. Depending on what the result is or my mood that day, it can be good, or backfire. I weighed myself and took measurements as of March 1st, Next time I do it, it’ll be April 1st (and only three short weeks until my race). 😬
Looking forward to a nice weekend, not having to do a million things, and spending time together. Oh, and getting some miles in!
