I really dislike talking politics with the people I care about. I’m not a big fan of creating conflict, and I’m pretty passionate about my own beliefs, it can get ugly. :/
Mostly, I’m not a fan of having someone else’s opinion and/or beliefs forced on me. That goes for everything. I am entitled to my own opinion, as you are yours. That being said, I’m grateful I live in a place where I am able to make my own choice.
I am happy I voted today and whatever happens, happens. Let the cards fall where they may. No amount of arguing (among friends etc) will change the outcome.
I am also incredibly grateful today for the tools I have been given to make my own voice be heard in both my personal and professional life. So many tools I use every single day – and sometimes I don’t even realize it right away. It’s become second nature.
Better every day. I’m not the same person I was yesterday, and I’m certainly not the same person I was a year ago. Always evolving, growing, and changing; and now I have a voice to go along with it.
