For the result
I tell you; this was a Monday – done right. Finally.
I’ve been manifesting it for weeks – what does this daily routine look like. I’ve tried getting up early, that just doesn’t work for me. I’ve been inconsistent with times and on days when I’m working out and I KNOW I am a better, more productive, person when I’m working out consistently.
It all hit me Saturday, I was REALLY looking forward to Saturday – the sun was finally going to be shining. It was a rough start, literally all I wanted to do was lay on the couch. I knew Sunday was going to be another rainy day – so Saturday was the only shot to get some stuff done outside. But I literally couldn’t pick myself up to get moving.
Do you ever have that feeling that you’re doing something – the best way I can describe it is like you’re driving down a road just like you do every day on autopilot, and suddenly you make a turn down a road you never take – just to change things up. I feel like I’m driving the same course everyday lately – I need to turn somewhere there aren’t a lot of options.
So, like a robot (don’t think, just do) I jumped on my bike. And 30 minutes later – I was finally ready to start my day. I got outside with the kids. They all pitched in with the yard work and I was able to bribe my little day laborers with ice cream around a fire later in the evening.
I tricked myself into a better place with exercise – go figure. So…this morning I again, jumped on my bike like a robot. A sweaty session later, and my littles were awake and ready to start the day. What is this? Week seven? And finally, all those tiny pieces are coming together. No judgement.
Why are we working out? Alright some of us enjoy it…but we’re all in it for the same reason – the result. We feel better, it will bring us closer to our goals (whatever those may be).
There is so much growth in solitude…If you haven’t and you want to catch up on some of my own growth in solitude you can do so here:
And then here:
Truly grateful to share my journey with you. We even got in our (not quite daily) yoga routine this evening with my mini me.
Thinking of you, and sending you love.
